It has been quiet here for a couple of days because I was quite busy on last weekend. I am about to lauch a new domain name for this astronomy blog as well as a new theme. I will change to Wordpress and I will host the service by myself. Registering the domain name and setting up the service will take a while, but meanwhile I continue posting here. Here’s some news from the other side of the planet.

According to AFP, India has launched a rocket to carry a Insat-4CR communication satellite to orbit. With this act India joins the competition of 2.5-billion-dollar satellite launch business. The 49-meter rocket was launched from Sriharikota space station in southern India.

Last time India launched a satellite ended in failure and the rocket had to be destroyd in less than a minute after the launch. This time the launch was successful and engouraging for India’s space program.
