Mars Rovers Survive Dust Storms

11 September 2007 No Comment

mars.jpgMars rovers, Spirit and Opportunity have survived from the heavy dust storm. Now they continue working and Opportunity will go down to Victoria crater, while Spirit examines Home Plate plateau. Rovers seem to be able to survive in very difficult environment. Anyhow, it takes few days to test the instruments. After that Opportunity will start landing down to crater. The rovers were designed to last three months, and so far they have served for 43 months.

The picture shows Opportunity preparing for landing to crater.
