Ok, let’s move on. This first “Astronomy For Beginners” discusses about Orion Nebulae. Orion is a constellation standing next to Eridanus and it is probably the best known constellation in the sky. It is big and easy to recognize. Orion is extremely rich in bright stars and deep-sky objects. The most bright stars of Orion are Rigel, a supergiant, and Betelgeuse, a giant.
The Orion constellation is surrounded by gas and dust clouds that include a number of nebulae in which new stars are born. During the last 10 million years around 10 000 new stars have borned in the nebulae. Very close to the belt of Orion is the Horsehead nebula which is the most famous nebula in Orion. Under the southmost star of Orion is a emission nebula that causes a strange yeallow ligth.
Close to the “sword of the hunter” (Orion) is the biggest emission constellation of Orion. Four most bright stars in Orion formulate the Trapets. The bright nebulae can sometimes be seen without a telescope. It has been estimated that there are around 1000 young stars in the nebula.
