A Rollercoaster For Astronauts

Think about yourself waiting for the launch in the cockpit of a shuttle, while suddenly there is a fire. You would focus in getting away from the cockpit and the launch pad (the cockpit is high above ground). Walking down would take too much time.
Nasa has now built an emergency evacuation system, called Orion Emergency Egress System. It is like a big rollercoaster that can bring the astronauts quickly into a safer place. In fact, the rollercoaster brings people underground into a bunker.
