Spaceflightnow.com writes about an Earth-like planet forming 424 light-years away from the Earth (just around the corner..). The more exact location is the star system HD 113766. There is a huge belt of warm dust that is forming to a planet. The location of that belt is optimal for Earth-like conditions to form. The Earth is located similarly in our solar system.
The timing is optimal for forming an Earth-like planet, says Dr. Carey Lisse, of the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, Laurel, Md. Lisse says in Spaceflightnow.com “the conditions for forming an Earth-like planet are more than just being in the right place at the right time and around the right star - it’s also about the right mix of dusty materials“. Heh.. that is a lot required. It would be a tricky job to find another similar phenomenon in the universe
So, may be we will have “another Earth” in which human beings could live after the Earth is destroyed. But hey.. when will it be ready? When can we move? Just sit back and take it relaxed. It will take some time..
