Why Homeboy Astronomy Blog?

Many years ago I stumbled upon an interesting article of astronomy. I had been interested in astronomy before that, but that article got me interested a bit more and I started to read some astronomy books. I realized how huge and wonderful the universe is and how much there are objects to observe. I was very excited about all that. Since those days I have been interested in observing the sky above.

In addition to all other hobbies, I am also interested in writing. I enjoy writing articles and lyrics, and by writing my astronomy blog I can combine these two passions. My biggest motivation in writing Homeboy Astronomy Blog is to pass on my knowledge to people interested in stargazing. That is why this blog contains much “howto” articles, such as How To Find Orion Nebula.

So what is Homeboy?

“Homeboy” can be understood as “a hometown boy, a close friend”. A close person of mine called me homeboy some time ago.
